Hawaii Cyber Month Is September 2018

September 2018 is Hawaii Cyber Month, an initiative to engage and inspire students grades 6-12 to learn about careers in cybersecurity and give teachers opportunities to bring cyber into the classroom. ES&A is among the sponsors of Hawaii Cyber Month, which includes the following free events:

  • NSA Day of Cyber in Hawaii, Sept. 4-13: On-Demand Virtual Learning for Grades 6-12: The National Security Agency (NSA) is sponsoring NSA Day of Cyber, a national initiative designed to inspire students to pursue STEM careers and build the skills that will connect them to the digital workforce. In Part 1, students virtually participate in real-world scenarios in the day in the life of an NSA security expert; in Part 2, students continue the experience with additional activities in the classroom to earn a certificate of completion.
  • CYBER Connections Hawaii, Sept. 7, 8:30am-1pm. A live webcast featuring cyber professionals sharing their professional experiences. Teachers may register their classrooms at https://conta.cc/2MBLFtT
