OFCCP Releases Audit Scheduling Methodology

The Office of Federal Contracts Compliance Programs (OFCCP) has made available its methodology for selecting supply and service contractors to be audited in FY 2018. The agency used information from the Federal Procurement Data System – Next Generation (FPDS-NG), the EEO-1 database, and Dun & Bradstreet to identify eligible contractors. The process identified contractors by a number of factors, such as parent name, establishment name, employee count, and contact information, as well as information about their contracts, including physical address, value, and expiration date, to list just a few. This process created an “available pool” for scheduling, with a maximum of 1,000 establishments, and assigned to the respective OFCCP district offices. A final set of criteria was then applied, among them highest employee count, establishments per parent company (no more than 10), and prior audits. The pool was then put in random order for audit by the district offices, and added to prior lists of selected but unscheduled contractors; prior lists are not purged when a new scheduling list is released.
