Citing evolving intelligence that Russia may be exploring options for cyberattacks against the U.S., the Biden Administration has released “Act Now to Protect Against Potential Cyberattacks,” a fact sheet with protective steps companies should take, including:

• Multi-factor authentication
• Deploying modern security tools on computers and devices
• Check with cybersecurity professionals to make sure your systems are patched and protected against all known vulnerabilities
• Back up your data and ensure you have offline, secured backups
• Run exercises of emergency plans
• Encrypt your data
• Educate your employees about common tactics of attackers
