Pandemic Education Program Provides Free Online Training for Hawaii Nonprofits
The Hawaii State Bar Foundation (HSBF), with support from Hawaii Community Foundation (HCF) and First Hawaiian Bank, has launched an online, on-demand Pandemic Education Program, free of charge for Hawaii nonprofits. The program extends valuable training to help nonprofit organizations interpret grant, safety and other compliance responsibilities flowing from federal pandemic relief as well as to guide them through general operations during the pandemic. The training program is designed for:
- executive directors and key operational staff of nonprofit entities
- volunteer board members of nonprofit entities
- attorneys providing advice and counsel to nonprofit entities
The first four scheduled sessions, each 60-90 minutes:
- Session 1: PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) Form Completion for Small Nonprofits (presenters: Anna Elento-Sneed and Sam Sneed)
- Session 2: 10 Things a Nonprofit Needs to Do to Survive the Pandemic (presenters Anna Elento-Sneed and Jennifer Cornish Creed)
- Session 3: Federal Contract & Grant Compliance 101 for Nonprofits (presenter: Melissa Unemori Hampe, Skog Rasmussen LLC)
- Session 4: Human Resources for Nonprofits (presenters: Anna Elento-Sneed and Sarah Wang)
