USDOL Issues Opinion Letters Regarding FMLA and FLSA

The U..S. Department of Labor (USDOL) Wage & Hour Division has issued opinion letters addressing Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) issues:

FMLA2024-01-A: Discusses permissible use of FMLA leave for the treatment of a serious health conditions when treatment is provided as part of a clinical trial

FLSA2024-02: Discusses considerations for excluding daily expenses for tools and equipment from regular rate calculations for overtime pay.
