The U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL) has issued a final rule on Defining and Delimiting the Exemptions for Executive, Administrative, Professional, Outside Sales, and Computer Employees, amending the current regulations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), increasing the standard salary level for exempt employees and the total annual compensation requirement for highly compensated employees (HCE) as follows:
