In a BYOD World, Secure the Device and Secure the Human

Cell phones, tablets and laptops put the whole world in your hands, no matter where you are. For employers, BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) means your company’s whole world may be in your employees’ hands, no matter where they are. In a recent webinar on the cybersecurity and privacy issues created by “Mobile Devices in the Workplace.” ES&A Director Sam Sneed outlined common threats in the mobile environment (denial of service, information discolsure, spooing and tampering), types of information at risk, along with risk management strategies to make sure you are in charge of where your corporate data ends up.
