The Hawai`i Civil Rights Commission (HCRC) has published updated guidelines for pre-employment inquiries (application forms and job interviews) dated 11/6/2020 to its website. The guideline identifies lawful and unlawful inquiries which employers may reference; however, if there are any inconsistencies with administrative rules and Hawaii employment law, the rules and Hawaii law will control.
