EEOC Issues Resource Documents on Equal Pay and Pregnancy Discrimination
On June 14, 2016, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commissions (EEOC) issued the following resource documents:
Equal Pay and the EEOC’s Proposal to Collect Pay Data: Proposes revisions to the Employer Information Report (EEO-1) to annually collect pay data, in addition to gender, race and ethnicity, from employers, including federal contractors, with 100 or more employees. An initial public hearing on the proposal was held in March 2016; after reviewing the testimony and comments, the EEOC will submit a revised proposal for a second comment period in the summer of 2016 before it is finalized.
