OSHA Injury and Illness Information Submission Deadline Extended to December 15

The U.S. Department of Labor’s (DOL) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued a final rule extending the deadline for electronic submission of 2016 injury and illness data from December 1st to December 15, 2017. This applies to information collected on the following OSHA forms:

For covered employers with 250 or more employees:

  • Form 300 (Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses)
  • Form 300A (Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses)
  • Form 301 (Injury and Illness Incident Report)

For covered employers with 20-249 employees:

  • Form 300A (Summary of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses

 

Data must be submitted electronically to OSHA using its Injury Tracking Application for subsequent public posting on the OSHA website, after removal of any Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
